Here I share a peek through examples from my sketchbooks. This work represents the beginning of many creative explorations!
I believe in sharing even the most ‘rough and ready’ artwork, because it conveys the love, attention and discipline of art practice as much as ‘finished’ pieces do. Sketches form part of a story - like footprints in the creative journey of the artist.
Sometimes I find myself embarking on a “rough sketch” only to be absorbed in the subject and creating something more developed. You will be able to see the difference between the sketches that took 5-10 minutes and those that became ‘drawings’ consuming up to 3-4 hours!
If you see an idea sketched out here, that you are interested in me developing to a more finished piece for you, let me know via the contact page ♡
