My wildlife portraits celebrate Australia’s biodiversity — sharing the awe and curiosity these creatures inspire.
Pet portraits capture the warmth and joy we feel with our animal companions.
Rich textures and vivid colours are my signature style, as I render animals with dynamic energy and imagination.
I use mixed media, including acrylic paints and stone powders, soft pastels and oil pastels. All work is protected by multiple coats of polymer varnish.
This technique creates a flexible coating that won’t crack or discolour.

Who am I?
Born and raised in South Australia, I grew up surrounded by artists and gardeners. This family culture fostered in me a deep love and fascination for the natural world. It’s a love that has sustained me through life’s ups and downs.
My creative work, from art to garden design and videos, is informed by my background in evolutionary biology and ecology. My doctoral research explored how human-nature connection in cities is influenced by the shape of the urban landscape. I’ve come to believe that feeling part of nature - and active connection - is fundamental to human wellbeing.
In the middle of my PhD in 2021, I hit a wall of burnout. To find my way back to myself, I returned to something I’d loved as a child: creating art.
I soon realised that creating and sharing images is when I feel most alive — it’s also when I feel my voice is most effective — most ‘heard’. So I’ve been pursuing this path ever since.
